Key Features

The Smartfind S20 SRS is designed to be used mounted on a lifejacket using the clips provided, prior to going to sea. When it is installed in the lifejacket the orange safety tab is released, which ‘arms’ the S20 ready for use. To use, first inflate the lifejacket. When it is inflated, pull the orange tab downwards to pull the red cap off the S20. This will deploy the antenna and automatically switch ON the S20 SRS.

Automatic Activation Supported Lifejackets (PFDs)

Providing it is professionally fitted, by the lifejacket manufacturer or one of its authorised service centres, the Smartfind S20 SRS can be made to activate when the lifejacket inflates. This makes the Smartfind S20 SRS as automatic as the lifejacket, activating as a result of the lifejacket being inflated.

Description

Commercial Vessel or Leisure Craft AIS MOB Device.

An AIS Man Overboard (MOB) device is designed to be carried by individual crew members and used in the event of a Man Overboard situation or other personal emergency. When activated it transmits an AIS MOB message containing your position and ID via AIS (Automatic Identification System). The transmission will also be detected by the all AIS equipped vessels within range. This information can be displayed on a chartplotter or ECDIS display if interfaced with an AIS receiver/transceiver.

As the AIS MOB device includes an inbuilt GPS receiver, your current location is also transmitted, dramatically reducing the time taken to locate and rescue you even in poor visibility. Our AIS MOB devices feature a flashing light to help rescuers pinpoint your precise location in the water.
